Brief Event Description:

AIER hosted two Learning Journey trips to visit Saint Georges School (SGS) in north Spokane. The visits in included a great introduction by each of the Division Heads at SGS (Nate Lill, Joelle Neiwert, Rick Petrini, and Head of School Jamie Tender). The group got to tour all division buildings and meet with students and faculty. The tour ended with a group Q/A session with the Division heads.

Topics that stood out during our visit:

  • The VERY friendly and engaged student body

  • Dedicated staff with shared culture of “relationships first”

  • Very accepting and supportive student culture – students feel part of the community when they are there.

 Quotes from Students:

“This is a cool school, better than my last school.”

“We have such a beautiful campus here, a great place to go to school."

  • Strong International Baccalaureate program

  • Rigorous academics

  • A strong “No-Cut” athletic program
